Alpe D’Huez¬†

A big thank you to all parents who gave permission for their children to participate in our annual Ski Course.

A total of 121 children from 10 Liverpool schools took to the slopes in early March.

The weather was phenomenal and paved the way for fantastic skiing progression.

This year, one particular group made history as they became the first group in the history of The Liverpool Primary Ski Association to access ‘Sarenne’ – the longest black run in Europe. The run is approximately 16Km long but due to high wind at the summit 3330m, the BLACK group, skied from 3060m. They were able to ski 12.6Km of the record breaking slope! The Rudston children who formed this group were –

Jack Mottram, Ethan McCormick, Harvey Strachan and  Marjane Benyoub.

A huge thank you to the 14 Rudston children who made it such a huge success for myself and Mrs. McElhinney.

I hope to see some of you next year!

Thank you,

Mr Long.

History of the course

At Rudston Primary School we are very fortunate to be part of the Liverpool Primary Ski Association.

Alpe D’Huez boasts some of the most extensive nursery areas in Europe and is perfect for our children.

For the more able children, there is a total of 249Km of piste to choose from!

Below are some photographs celebrating our previous children’s experiences on the slopes .
