The Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding given to schools in order to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. The intended effect of this funding is to accelerate progress and raise attainment. The amount of Pupil Premium funding a school receives is calculated according to the number of pupils in receipt of free school meals. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision would be most effective for those individuals and groups of pupils identified as needing additional support. Please see Downloads below for how we spend our funding and government guide to Pupil Premium.
